People Don't Change...Their Mindset Does

In all honesty I have observed a lot of people in my life and I always ask myself 7 "is the world capable of change?" I always find myself stuck between seeing the good in everything and learning the lesson that there are evil people out there. I would hate to lose hope in the world but at the same time why try and change people if what's encoded in their DNA is who they will be regardless?
Learning To Be Good
Many say that a babies are born innocent and pure but would you beg to differ if I told you that we all are born with the Innate ability of selfishness and greed. That's not to say that babies, infants or children are evil and no I have nothing against the cute and wonderful holders of our future. The point of my statement is when we are born we are selfish and greedy in nature meaning we cry and throw fits when we don't get what we want because we want it right now. We smile, laugh and get excited when things go our way but eventually we are taught by those with more experience and learn from our own mistakes that we won't always get what we want. Will we throw a fit? Will we get upset? Probably but those lesson shape us whether it be for good or bad. We ultimately learn our behaviors and when we feel that those behaviors suit us best we wear them like armor and they become a part of us.

It's All About Mindset

Now of course a lot of you will say that "behaviors can be learned and unlearned." Yes that is true and I don't Deny it but what if that behavior feels natural to them? What if they don't want to change what feels natural to them? That's like asking some one to change who they are. How would you feel if I told you not to be...you. would you say "Ok! You got it!" Or would you think/say to yourself "I won't be anyone else but me." Simply put you can't force anyone to change. Unless they are willing to change they will continue to revert back to what feels natural to them and that's why it's all about mindset and how you alter it to become who you want to be.

Your Mindset Is The Key To Change

You can't unlock a door without a key just like you can't damage a door without breaking it down. Your Mindset or outlook on life is the driving force to what path in life you follow and as you follow your Mindset will ever so slightly shift. You won't really notice this as your overall mindset is focused on the bigger picture and your final destination. Paint the picture of you inside a car. You are you and the car is your mindset. Only you can choose where that car goes. If such and such location is beneficial then you may choose to go to that location or you can choose to follow other roads that may be beneficial or not but ultimately the car will get you where ever YOU CHOOSE to go. We all know that feeling of being lost and hopeless wanderers because we decided to follow The "best" route set by the norm of society. The road becomes bumpy and we feel unhappy because of that unnatural feeling in the back of our mind nagging saying "you should be doing this."
Sort of like that GPS trying to re-route you because where you are headed most likely isn't the route you want to take at this current moment.

Conclusion

Do you want to know why most people are unhappy with a lot of regrets? It's because they didn't listen to that GPS telling them where to go because they would rather pick their direction based on the predetermined success goals given by others. Now if your Mindset is in that direction then that's fine but next time someone tells you to be a doctor or lawyer and you want to be marine biologist, missionary, burger flipper hell even a garbage man/woman the you follow that GPS if that's what makes you happy. Your Mindset is the Key to the change you desire!
I hope you all enjoyed this post I sure did enjoy writing it. This post was kind of inspired by my last post "The Worst Feeling To Have Is Knowing You're Stuck..." but mainly stems from my observations of people seeking to be successful with the mindset of others instead of their own because somehow that's what makes you more accepted by those around you. I think we all have our own craft and road to follow. While that may lead the same direction as others we shouldn't have any backseat drivers trying to turn off our navigation because they feel they know what's best for you.only you know your final destination...so get there on your terms!
